Dry Farm Wines - small production, natural & sugar-free
I discovered Dry Farm Wines after I started to learn about industrial wine making practices, the heavy use of pesticides, and the nasty additives (nearly 50) that are approved for wine-making without the need for a contents label.
In my opinion, this is the gold standard for natural wine. All of their wines are independently lab tested and come from small, independent vineyards (mostly in Europe). They are also all sugar free (< 1g/L) and keto-friendly.

Plastic-Free Food Storage
I try to keep plastic out of the kitchen and away from our food as much as possible, so we use glass and silicone for food storage. I’ve tested several silicone bags, and I think the ones listed here are the best options out there. I’m also a big fan of simple mason jars.
Note: glass storage containers typically come with a plastic lid. I don’t worry too much about that since it doesn’t come in contact with the food. Also, I hand wash any kind of plastic since the heat from the dishwasher can cause it to breakdown and I don’t want that in the water that’s cleaning the rest of our dishes.
Five Two Silicone Storage & Cooking Lids
Use as a lid while cooking, keep food warm, and create airtight food storage.
Glass Storage Set w/Bamboo Lids
These are completely plastic free and the durable lids double as cutting boards.

Similar to the Five Two lids, these are handy for storing food on a plate or bowl.
Silicone Storage Bags (pinch seal)
My favorite! The best and easiest pinch seal I've found (and I've tested lots!).
Cleaning
All-Purpose Cleaning
Conventional cleaning products are full of toxic chemicals, hormone-disrupting fragrances, allergens and more. We avoid all harsh chemicals by sticking to non-toxic products for our cleaning. After trying a lot of different products over the years, I found Branch Basics and now exclusively use their concentrate to make our bathroom, kitchen / all-purpose, and window cleaner, as well as the foaming hand soap we keep at all of our sinks. The all-purpose spray combined with the oxygen boost is an amazing stain fighter that has worked beautifully for us.
I love having one go-to concentrate that’s delivered every couple months and not going though dozens of plastic spray bottles. You can get $10 off your purchase though the links provided below. Also, Branch Basics is a female-founded, female-run, high-integrity business. In addition to their products, I’m a huge fan of what they stand for and I’ve learned so much in the time I’ve been following them.
In addition to these products, we keep a simple spray made of vinegar and water on hand (but never use it on marble!!) and baking soda for scrubbing sinks, showers and bath tubs.

Toys
This is a category where you can find a ton of plastic and unwanted chemicals. Given that babies are constantly putting things in their mouths and using whatever they can get their hands on for teething, I’m a fan of keeping these really simple — especially for small babies. I’m a little less stringent when it comes to toys and activities for older toddlers and preschools. But in my book, less is always more. Below are a few natural baby toys and teethers our little ones have enjoyed. I’ve also given my babies wooden cooking spoons, measuring cups, and silicone kitchen gear for hours of entertainment! Check out my post on Non-Toxic Baby Gear for more information on why I avoid plastic toys.

Feeding: bottles, milk storage, baby food storage
I always avoid plastic in contact with food and drinks. I have a full overview in my my post on Non-Toxic Baby Gear. A couple thinks to keep in mind: all plastic leaches (even if it’s BPA-free) and heat, acid and fat cause plastic to breakdown and leach even more. Baby milk in plastic is a particularly bad combination because it’s got acid, fat, and is often heated inside a plastic bottle. Here are the alternatives I recommend:

This set will get you from baby to toddlers with 3 sets of silicone nipples.
