About
Hello – I’m so excited to have you here! I’m Jessica Turney, a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC), and I created this site to share my passion for wellness through nourishing foods, greater mindfulness and healthy living tips that you can incorporate into your own life.
My journey started 15+ years ago, and I’ve improved my health in countless ways since then. I’ve lost about 40 lbs and have completely transformed the way I feel. I’ve cultivated a healthy relationship with food and exercise, learned to mitigate environmental toxin exposure, and developed a deep appreciation for the non-physical aspects of wellbeing that can sometimes have the biggest impact on our health — such as gratitude and mindful-based stress reduction. I’ve also applied all of these learnings to my most important role as a mom, so I’m passionate about low toxin living and healthy eating for young children.
As a certified health coach, I take a whole person approach and meet my clients wherever they are on their wellness journey. We partner to explore the root cause of symptoms, set realistic goals and develop a plan to improve the client’s health and wellbeing.
I believe that our bodies are the best doctors. They tell us what works for us and what doesn’t. My job is to ask the right questions, provide accountability, make suggestions, and help clients tune into their bodies and identify patterns to fuel lasting change.
Passionate about helping clients: cut sugar / refined carb cravings, reduce exposure to common toxins, achieve and sustain a healthy weight, optimize health for improved fertility/pregnancies/postnatal health, incorporate home cooking and healthy eating for the whole family, resolve gut issues, regulate blood sugar and manage stress.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you learn something new, share, and are inspired to live healthier.
APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY
- Practicality is important. The goal is to strike a balance between making healthy choices while living in the real world. I’m a working, city-living mom and I make compromises all the time. Our time is limited and there’s only so much that we can (or want to!) DIY.
It doesn’t have to be hard. I wont lie and say a healthy lifestyle doesn’t take effort, but there’re plenty of hacks and shortcuts that make a it easier. It’s really about being informed, intentional, and developing good habits.
No judgement. I don’t believe in one type of diet or a single way of doing things. I also know that making changes can feel overwhelming. I’ve been there and I want to support you through the process of figuring out what works best for you.
